May 25, 2007, Newsletter Issue #63: Child's Sympathy Gift Basket

Tip of the Week

When children are hurt or sick, you can cheer up their days with a sympathy gift basket. Fill a child's gift basket with books, crayons, coloring books, small toys, and candy treats. Give them something to look forward to when they begin to feel better by placing gift certificates to ice creams shops, video stores, and local amusement attractions, such as the movie theater, skating rink, or bowling alley into the sympathy gift basket. For smaller children, add a stuffed animal, and don't forget to top the basket off with a couple of helium-filled balloons. For older children, place some video game rental certificates, popular magazines, and a couple of compact discs into the gift basket.
