December 7, 2007, Newsletter Issue #90: Back to School Kid's Gift Baskets

Tip of the Week

Sometimes kids need a little help getting excited about going back to school. Giving a child a back to school gift basket may help them ease back into the classroom, however. You can fill a child's gift basket with all sorts of great school supplies, such as pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, a compass, a protractor, notebooks, paper, a small pencil sharpener, markers, crayons, colored pencils, a small mirror, locker organizers, and anything else school related. The gift basket for your kid can also include gift certificates to local ice cream shops, delis, or popular hamburger joints for after school snacks. You might want to forgo the classic wicker basket and use a new backpack or lunch box as the container for your child's gift basket.
